Japan Travel (Day 2): Autumn night in Kyoto

During autumn, even at night Kyoto is still busy and alive with people going to see the night illumination around the temples.

Out of all the many temples in Kyoto, my friend recommended that we go to just the best one for autumn night viewing.. Kiyomizudera temple.

To get there, we walked along the streets of Higashiyama district.. Which is just as much fun as the destination itself with all the shops you can stop by to browse.

Best part was the free food tasting, and 90% of the time after we try something, we would end up buying a whole box of it immediately after.. Here are some of the snack goodies we ended up purchasing..

green tea pudding

When we reached the end of the Higashiyama street, we took pictures around the Yasaka pagoda..

And all the vivid colors of autumn in display..

An amazing way to end our first night here in Kyoto 🙂
