Japan Travel (Day 4): Fushimi Inari shrine

Another can’t miss shrine to visit while in Kyoto is the Fushimi Inari shrine.  We came here after we finished up with our kimono dress up experience, so we arrived pretty late in the day already around 4 pm.

The entrance itself looks similar to other shrines,

And is flanked by a pair of fox statues, thought to be messengers of the god of grain foods, Inari.

The place is packed with other tourists, so it’s hard to get a group photo of everyone, but my fave is this all girls group shot of us 🙂 (even if there were other tourists in the background)
