PHL | Siquijor: Accommodation – Old Ye Shanty

Before we started our tour, we had to drop-off our stuff at our accommodation. We were blessed enough to be referred to stay at Old Ye Shanty which is located in Solangon, Siquijor and owned by Mike, an Irish-Australian. Our (Filipino) friend Mike called his friend Vincent in Siquijor to assist us with finding an accommodation. The kind Irish-Australian Mike (Vincent’s friend) then offered the place for us to stay for 2 days free of charge.

Upon arriving at the said location, we were toured around the house. We loved it at once. It is a 2 storey house which is a combination of modern and native. It has a balcony with a nice view, a bathroom, dining area and a kitchen at the ground floor. It has cook wares, dinner wares, utensils for us to use as well. It is only a fan room, but who would need an air-conditioner when there is that cool breeze.

Its name – Old Ye Shanty – is so underrated for this really nice accommodation. The house is still new and clean.
