PHL | Dumaguete: Casaroro Falls

by blueclouds

Coming from Siquijor via ferry, we rested for awhile after checking in at Harold’s Mansion and we went through our adventure for site seeing in Dumaguete. Casororo Falls cannot be reached directly by tricycle, car or van, one has to transfer to a habal-habal (motorcycle) to go to the jump-off point because of the rough road.

To Casaroro Falls

Casaroro Falls is located in Valencia, Negros Oriental which is 9.4 kilometers west of Dumaguete City. It is lodged deep into the rock cervices of the rugged Valencia mountains and with a height of 100 meters whose water plunges into a deep cold basin before it flows down to a stream. This waterfall is considered to be narrow.

To reach Casaroro Falls, head to Valencia Plaza via jeepney / tricycle and hire a habal-habal to bring you the jump-off point before proceeding to the hike to the falls. The trail is a tropical rocky terrain as well as 350-steps concrete stairs. It is roughly 30-45 minutes hike.
